We understand the unique needs and day-to-day challenges facing residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. That is why we reserved a special place for them in our specially designed Special Care neighborhood.
Just like all of the other residents in assisted living neighborhoods, our residents in our Special Care neighborhood enjoy the same neighborhood concept as in our assisted living neighborhoods such as the country kitchen, intimate dining room and cozy family room with the added security and programming in place to meet residents’ special needs such as:
- Secure, self-contained neighborhood
- Enclosed courtyards
- Screened-in porches
- Additional staffing to meet residents’ needs
- Experienced staff, trained to meet the needs of resident with dementia
- Specialized activities program for residents with dementia and according to the resident’s individual needs
