It’s only natural to want to retain as much independence as possible in life. But sometimes people need a little assistance. Bon Secours Assisted Living Residences offer a fresh approach to assisted living that provides just the right amount of supportive services in a warm, home-like setting.

First, we encourage our residents to do as much for themselves as possible. However, as the need arises, our caring, professional staff offers assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and medication reminders as needed. Our excellent staff-to-resident ratio assures residents the care they need, 24 hours a day.

We also handle many time-consuming chores, including housekeeping, flat laundry, lawn care and maintenance. That way residents can focus their attention on more important things … like staying active and enjoying life.

Secondly, we offer a variety of activities to stimulate the mind, body and spirit such as educational classes, arts and crafts projects, discussion groups, outings, exercise programs, religious activities and more.

Most important of all, our fresh approach to assisted living is based on a unique neighborhood concept. Instead of row after row of look-alike apartments, Bon Secours Assisted Living Residences feature neighborhoods of individual residences. Each one- or two-bedroom apartment has its own kitchenette and private bath. Within each neighborhood are the kind of rooms you find in a warm and inviting home. There is a lovely living room that is perfect for entertaining family and friends. A cozy family room, ideal for card games and watching television with neighbors. In the full country kitchen, residents can bake cookies for their grandchildren or create traditional holiday treats. The charming dining room has small groupings of tables for meals with neighbors. And an inviting porch or courtyard offers a peaceful spot for reading, relaxing and enjoying the fresh air.

We also offer neighborhoods dedicated exclusively to the care of those with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. These areas are just as beautiful … just as home-like … as all of our other neighborhoods. Only here, we’ve paid extra attention to the details. Screened-in porches, enclosed courtyards, enhanced safety and security measures, and additional highly trained staff members sensitive to each individual’s personal preferences ensure residents are as independent and active as possible while also receiving the specialized care they need.
